Kidzbyte MediaTech Pvt Ltd recently raise Rs 2 crore, with the lead investor, a serial entrepreneur Pranay Goyal. Kidzbyte will utilize this seed funds to further scale its technology. It will also put the funds to expand its user base and its resources. Post the seed funding round, Chetan D'Souza, founder of Kidzbyte stated, "KidzByte app provides curated and bite-sized news and content to help children become well-informed and responsible citizens of tomorrow, develop the habit of reading and improve language skills."
Lead investor, Pranay Goyal commented on the development, "The KidzByte team has immense potential and opportunity to redefine the future of learning in a world of media and technology. Kids today spend more time on screen media where a lot of venues offer content that may not be appropriate for or interest kids, and this is where KidzByte’s mobile app helps in bridging the gap."
The application is updated with daily news from all around the world, spread across various topics such as India & World, Career & Education, Science & Discovery, Weird & Wacky and more. It also has features like animated videos in a newsroom set-up, ‘Read To Me’ audio functionality, in-built dictionary and quizzes among others. the application also hosts several competitions like 15Under15 and KidzByte Olympiad and prizes ensuring engagement with its audience.
