Apple India reduces price of iPhone 7 but buy it for Rs 32,800 on Flipkart

Apple India reduced the price of its iPhones, iPads, Macs and Apple Watch models in India after the Goods and Service Tax (GST) rollout. However, e-commerce website – Flipkart is selling the iPhone 7 for way cheaper.

The price of the 32GB variant of iPhone 7 which was Rs 60,000 earlier was reduced to Rs 56,200. Flipkart is selling the same phone for much less.

On its website Flipkart has displayed a 20% discount from Rs 60,000 on the phone to Rs 47,699; but additional offers gets the price down further.

The offer included a ‘Special Price Flat Off’ of Rs 12,301. However, the offer is only available till stock lasts and the company said that the offer is available on select brands only.

An additional ‘Buy with exchange’ offer from Flipkart can be availed on purchasing the phone, which offers up to Rs 15,000 off, Flipkart said.

Customers can exchanged the iPhone 6s Plus and get an exchange discount of Rs 11,450, totalling the final amount payable for the iPhone 7 at Rs 36,349.

Similarly the iPhone 6s can be exchanged for a Rs 10,450 discount on the iPhone 7 and total amount payable will go down to Rs 37,349.

To avail Flipkart’s full discount of Rs 15,000 on ‘Buy with exchange’ customers will have to exchange their Google Pixel phone.

The buy with exchange discount is available on several brands like Asus, Coolpad, Gionee, Google, HTC, Honor, Huawei, Intex, Karbonn, LG, LeEco, Leeco, Meizu, Micromax, Motorola and OnePlus.

On exchange of the OnePlus 3T model, customers will get Rs 8,400 off on purchase of the iPhone 7 from Flipkart. This will make the total amount payable as Rs 39,399 for the 32GB variant of iPhone 7, black variant.

Apple India cut the prices of several of its iPhone models. For instance the 32GB model of iPhone SE, which was priced at Rs 27,200 will now cost Rs 26,000 and the 32GB iPhone 6s, earlier available for Rs 50,000 has been priced at Rs 46,900, a report by IANS said.
