It is just hours away from the launch of the Apple's latest iPhone launch. The latest edition of the iPhone, the iPhone 8 or the iPhone X, is one of the most awaited launches during the year as it is the 10th anniversary celebration of the first iPhone.

Some reports suggest that Apple may not unveil one smartphone, but three today, ie the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X.
While the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus will be replace the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus launched last year, the iPhone X (stands for 10 in Roman numerals) is speculated to be the third iPhone to be introduced as 'iPhone's 10th birthday bash'.
The Apple event will be hosted in the Cupertino campus in California. For the first time this event will take place in the new Steve Jobs Auditorium all a part of the 10th anniversary celebration of the first iPhone.
Leaks on the iPhone suggest that the iPhone 8 will run on iOS 11 operating system and is expected to have a front facing camera and new 3D sensors among other features.
Apple's iPhone 8 is expected to come at a steep price of $1,000 (about Rs 64,000), while the iPhone X could cost up to $1,400 (around Rs 90,000).
The iPhone 8 display is expected to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the LG G6.
Some of the other specifications expected in the iPhone 8 include a 5.8 inch 2.5D OLED edge-to-edge display, new design with an 'all-glass' construction. It will have wireless charging support and come with the Apple A11 chipset.
Media reports have also said that the iPhone 8 might have ‘OLED panel bonding’ which Samsung has been using for its display in certain models.
OLED technology is considered superior to LCD — especially when it comes to mobile devices. It is poised to be more power-efficient offering a wider colour gamut for brighter and more vibrant images.
It will also have rear-facing touch ID sensor and iOS 11 with improved Siri, P2P payments. Besides this, it is expected to come with face-scanning technology and vertical dual-cameras on the rear.
Rumours that a new Apple Watch may also be unveiled at the event with LTE connectivity, the rollout of macOS High Sierra and a 4K-capable Apple TV are expected to grace the stage.
