Moto E5 Plus, Moto E5 launched in India today; price, discounts and more here

Motorola has launched the budget-friendly Moto E5 Plus with 5000mAh battery in India today. At the same launch event, the company has also launched  Moto E5. Motorola said that India has the biggest share of sales for Moto E series across the world. The Moto E5 is priced at Rs 9,999, while the Moto E5 Plus is priced at Rs 11,999. Moto E5 Plus is an Amazon exclusive and will go on sale tonight at 12 am. The smartphone will be available with an Rs 800 discount on SBI cards, no-cost EMIs up to 9 months, and 130GB data additional data from Jio. The company is offering Rs 1,200 vouchers on purchases made using Paytm Mall from a Moto Hub outlet or Motorola offline partners. However, Moto E5 is now available at Moto Hubs and will come with the Paytm Mall and Jio offers.

Moto E5 Plus features:
The smartphone features a 6-inch HD+ (1440 x 720) IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 aspect ratio. On the back cover the device sports a reflective wave pattern. It comes with a fingerprint scanner, as well as Motorola’s logo at the back side of the phone.  The highlight of Moto E5 Plus is its battery which is a 5,000mAh one. For fast charging, the smartphone supports Motorola’s Turbocharging technology. 

The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 435 processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU for graphics performance and comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The storage capacity of the phone is expandable upto  256GB via a microSD card slot. It runs on Google’s Android 8.0 Oreo with Moto gestures.

In the camera front, there is a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and the front camera is of  8MP. Moto E5 Plus supports a micro-USB port for charging.  The connectivity options of MotoE5 Plus include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, the usual sensor array, 3.5mm earphone jack, and Micro-USB port.

Moto E5 features:
The smartphone features a  5.7-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio and HD+ resolution. With 2 GB RAM, it gets 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chip inside. The battery capacity of this device is 4000mAh.   Moto E5 comes with dual as well as single SIM variants. It runs on  Android 8.0 Oreo and sports a 13-megapixel rear shooter with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. 

The colour options available for this phone are - Flash Gray and Fine Gold. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC (in single SIM variant only), the usual sensors, and 3.5mm audio jack.
