Samsung Galaxy Note 8 sells for Rs 2000 more than Samsung Galaxy S8; What is a better pick?
Besides having a slightly larger display the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 seems very similar in terms of specifications than the Galaxy S8 Plus.

Samsung launched its flagship smartphone the Galaxy Note 8 on Tuesday in India priced at Rs 67,900. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 launch in India comes on the day Apple unveils its iPhone 8 smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has already received a good response in India and pre-bookings prior to its launch in the country were over 2.5 lakh bookings in India, said the company.
Though the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with some of the top end specifications and features, the hardware specifications of the smartphone seems very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is Rs 2,000 more than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus as the latter is priced at Rs 65,900.
When it comes to the display the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is a just slightly larger with a 6.3 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. On the other hand, the Galaxy S8 Plus has a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2960.
Besides this, both the smartphones have a 64-bit Exynos 8895 octa-core processor chipset and come with 6GB RAM.
However, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with a lower internal memory of 64GB, while the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, which is Rs 2,000 lower, comes with double the amount of memory at 128GB.
Like the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, the Galaxy Note 8 comes with a dual-camera setup at the rear both with 12 megapixel sensors. While the front camera is a 8 megapixel camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus also has a higher battery capacity with 3,500mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a 3,300mAh batter. Both smartphones also support fast charging technology and wireless fast charging facility and wireless charging technology.
However, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 comes with the "S Pen" stylus with a latency of less than 50 milliseconds. It also has the Screen off Memo feature which allows you to make notes up to 100 pages, without even unlocking the phone.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 also comes along with Bixby, the latest voice assistant feature included with the phone. This has been tweaked to cater to the Indian accents.
However, the company said that Bixby will soon be available with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus soon. So S8 Plus users will not miss the Bixby.
While there a few other features which are unique to the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, the Samsung Galaxy S8 has most of the features and comes with the same specifications. But it is priced lower a little lower at Rs 65,900.
