Best and Worst smartphones of January 2020: Smartphone makers have started 2020 with a bang, launching several smartphones in the first month of the year. The month saw the launch of Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, Vivo S1 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A51, Realme 5i and Honor 9X. We also saw the arrival of Honor Magic Watch 2, Honor Band 5i and Sony Walkman to India.
The first smartphone to launch this month was the Vivo S1 Pro which focused more on design than performance. It was followed by the budget offering Realme 5i which was essentially Realme 5 with a new design. Honor introduced the 48-megapixel camera and pop-up module to its smartphones for the first time in India with Honor 9X. The second half of the month was dominated by Samsung that launched Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy A51 at different price points for different sets of smartphone users.
