TCL launches hands-free AI Android TV: Check how it works, features and price

TCL has launched multiple smart devices in India on Wednesday including what it claims to be is the first hands-free AI Android TV in the country. The Google certified television can be controlled using voice-assistant and through the newly-launched TCL app which means that you don't need a remote control to turn on the television, switch channels or control the volume. Along with this, the company has also launched an AI driven air conditioner and an app to control the new devices.

TCL smart TV features and price in India

Called the C8 series, the new line up has televisions in two different sizes - 55-inch and 65-inch priced at Rs 49,990 and Rs 69,990, respectively. Both the models run on Android 9 and come with Onkyo Speakers that support Dolby Atmos for better audio quality. The panel supports up to 4K video quality with HDR Dolby Vision for better colour reproduction.

The Android operating system allows you to download apps, games and more from Google Play Store. The TV can either be controlled through voice-assistant or by connecting to the TCL app which converts your smartphone into a remote control. 

TCL AI AC features and price in India

The new line-up for AI driven air conditioners comes with ultra-inveter technology which helps save energy and is designed for the Indian climatic conditions. It comes with equipped with a high density filter and silver ion filtration technology that maximise air purification removing by bacteria.

TCL allows you to connect these ACs to Wi-Fi and give voice as well as in-app commands to control temperature and other functions. The 5-star, 1.5-ton AC has been priced at Rs 40,990. The 3-star, 2 ton AC will cost you Rs 41,990 while 3-star, 1.5 ton model has been priced at Rs 31,990.
