Toreto Bolt wireless earphones review: As more and more smartphone makers are ditching the 3.5mm jack and forcing the users to move towards a wireless experience, it is important to identify the right audio devices for you to use so that your experience is not compromised. The real problem is faced by the customers using budget smartphones who are often reluctant to pay extra on an earphone. And, the wireless earphones obviously cost more than the normal ones. 

Toreto has recently strengthened its headsets line-up with “BOLT”, a Bluetooth wireless headset that comes with six hours of play-time, claims to offer superior sound-quality and is priced unbelievably low at just Rs 1,248. In this review, we will tell you if the product us actually worth your money or not!

Design and look are some of the most important features of a wireless earphone and this is where the Toreto Bolt is a big let down. The success of any budget device lies in the fact that the maker could make it look premium. The Toreto Bolt just doesn’t give you that feel. It doesn’t weigh much at 132g and is easy to carry around but the material quality doesn’t look great. 

We had a red colour model of the product for review which didn’t make things better either. Going by the images, the black colour looks a lot better. Anyway, the red colour is just too bright for an audio device that you would want to wear and move around. Toreto has used plastic on the ear cups which makes them shine. Again, it doesn’t help an already flawed design. 

On the positive side, the Bolt comes with magnetic earbuds that ensure your headphones are secure and won’t fall off while not in use. The magnet is really strong and ensures that the earphones remain tangle-free while tucked around your neck. Also, this is feature that you rarely get at this price point. 

Toreto claims that the Bolt takes around one hour to fully charge and lets you enjoy 6 hours of interrupted music. I paired the earphone with Realme X and the all new Samsung Galaxy Note 10+, getting better results from the latter. The earphones worked for more than four hours on single charge which is a decent battery life but could have been better. 

With the Bolt, you can expect a superior audio experience as the sound quality is really impressive. You get clear and loud audio on the device. I played music, streamed YouTube content and even tried the Bolt while gaming and the results were mostly consistent. While the Bolt comes with HD sound support, the highlight is the strong bass that it offers. You really feel the difference while listening to songs and consuming other media. 

Both the ear cups fit in well and are comfortable. In case it doesn’t click for you on the first go, there are couple of earplugs you can try to find the right fit. As far as the connectivity goes, the Toreto Bolt can be connected to all kinds smartphones, tablets and laptops using Bluetooth V4.2.

Verdict 

I have been using the Sony WI-C600N for the last few months and the Toreto Bolt was a major step back in terms of design, look and feel. The way this device has been designed, it falls somewhere between a neckband and a wireless earphone, making it not the easiest to be carried around. But, there is not much to complain about the performance, especially if you consider the price tag of the Toreto Bolt. 

The headset delivers delivers superior sound-quality elevating your audio listening experience, if paired with the right smartphone. If you are already using a wireless headphone, the Toreto Bolt might not enough to make you switch, but if you are yet to move on from the usual wired earphones, then here is a device that offers good audio experience and decent battery life at almost nothing.
