Virtual to real! That's how Google's new hyper-local social mobile app 'Shoelace' works, which helps people to connect with whom they have common interests of various activities and binds them in a 'loop'.
Shoelace app has been built by a small team in Area 120, a Google's workshop for experimental products and currently available in New York only, but company mentioned that they are planing to bring it to cities nationwide. So, if your are in New York or just shifted there, then you might find someone via this app to spend time during your favorite activities.
How to sign up on Google Shoelace App
To sign in to the Shoelace account, you must have an active Google account with either Android devices of Version 8.0 or newer and iOS version 11.0 or newer. Once you will install the app, it will ask you to join a community with proper verification to ensure the safety of the users that with whom they are going to be interact is trustworthy and not fake! And if you find something fishy about a profile or loop, then report it on the app and company will fix it.

Wondering how app got its name? So a statement on official site of the app reads --The main aim of Shoelace is to tie people together based on their interest- like two laces on a shoe.
