Xiaomi Mi Max 2 goes on sale today; Amazon offers up to 100GB additional 4G data on Jio

E-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Tata Cliq, Paytm Mall as well as Xiaomi’s official website Mi.com will be putting up the Mi Max 2 on sale today.

The device is priced at Rs 16999 in India and is available in a black colour and 4GB RAM plus 64 GB storage variant.

Mi Max 2 was launched in India in July this year and went on sale at 10am IST on the above listed websites.

Amazon along with Mi.com in partnership with Reliance Jio is offering customers 100GB additional 4G data on Jio's network on purchase of the device.

This offer was launched by Jio in June and has been listed as a ‘special offer’ on the sale of Mi Max 2 on the Amazon’s website.

“Subject to these Offer terms, every person who purchases an “Eligible Devices” specified in the Annexure A hereunder from third party sellers listed on Amazon.in, and who fulfills the RJIO Terms, will be eligible to receive additional data benefits from RJIO in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed by RJIO and available at RJio website,” terms and conditions under the offer on Amazon read.

On Jio’s website, Xiaomi customers will be offered up to 30GB additional 4G data, with 5GB add-ons on every recharge of Rs 309 or above and limited to six recharges till 31 March 2018.

“To activate the Additional Data Voucher and avail the Offer, the Eligible Subscriber will have to download the MyJio Application on his/her Eligible Device and follow the steps specified below:
Open My Jio App -> My Vouchers -> View Voucher -> Recharge my number -> Confirm Recharge-> Successful Recharge Notification
Thereafter, the Additional Data Voucher shall reflect under the My Plans section,” Jio’s terms and conditions read.

Mi Max 2 specifications

The Mi Max 2 has a dual-SIM (Micro+Nano) and runs MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

It has a split screen feature and sports a 6.44-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display with a pixel density of 342ppi, a brightness rated at 450 nits, a 72 % NTSC colour gamut, 2.5G curved glass, and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The smartphone is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM and an Adreno 506 GPU.

The phone will be available with one year manufacturer warranty and six month manufacturer warranty for in-box accessories including batteries from the date of purchase.
