You can turn any photo into a WhatsApp sticker with this Android app

WhatsApp, social media messaging app, is now offering a bunch of sticker packs which were earlier available on Facebook Messenger, but if you are on Android, you can easily create your own stickers on your phone.

A former TNW Index development intern, Sven van der Zee, has built a free app--Sticker Studio. Those who want to try it can snap photos or import images into it, and simply draw an outline around the portion you want to turn into a sticker, said a TNW report.

The report further informed that you will need to create at least three stickers before you can export a pack of them into WhatsApp. You’re limited to 10 sticker packs with a maximum of 30 stickers per pack, it said.

Last month, WhatsApp came out with this new feature, allowing its users to create their own sticker art. It, however, stated stickers must meet certain requirements:

1. Each sticker is an image that has a transparent background.
2. Stickers must be exactly 512x512 pixels.
3. Each sticker must be less than 100 KB. See the README files associated with the sample apps for tips on reducing the file size of your stickers.

WhatsApp website further stated, "You must also provide an icon that will be used to represent your sticker pack in the WhatsApp sticker picker or tray. This image should be 96x96 pixels and must be less than 50 KB. See the README files associated with the sample apps for tips on reducing the file size of your tray icon."
