Chhattisgarh couple accuses nurse of medical negligence after their child dies during delivery

A couple in Chhattisgarh's Pratappur village alleged that their child died during delivery due to the negligence of a hospital nurse.The woman, Lakshmi, said that her husband was taking her to a local hospital here when the ambulance driver suggested them to get their child delivered at Nurse Shivkumari Jaiswal's residence. However, Shivkumari Jaiswal has denied any involvement in Lakshmi's delivery and said that she was not working on the day the incident took place.

Jawans of CRPF's 2nd battalion showed humanity once again. They formed human chain to help locals cross a bridge in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma, which is submerged due to overflowing of Malger River on August 15. Locals were crossing it to meet their brothers on Raksha Bandhan. The security personnel stood there for one and half hours and helped advance through troubled waters.

Southwest monsoon has advanced into south Rajasthan, southeast Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, northern Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir. A developed low pressure system located over north Madhya Pradesh and south Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning is gradually weakening. However related troughs continue to persist over north central India and northeastern India. The trough leads to instability and brings heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha on Saturday. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are also likely over Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday.

While speaking to ANI on monsoon and current weather condition in Chhattisgarh state, Meteorologist of Raipur Meteorological CentreHP Chandra said, “Monsoon has reached Kerala at least eight days late. So, it is expected to enter Chhattisgarh at around June 18 and cover the entire state within next five days after that. So, it is expected to cover the entire state of Chhattisgarh by June 23.” “Currently, there is heat wave condition in the entire state, temperature is 4-6 degree Celsius above normal. The condition is expected to persist for the next two days, we have also issued a heat wave warning,” he added.
