Megha Mendon, an artist and an architecture student from Mangaluru organised an art exhibition on discarded bottles. In a bid to spread awareness regarding cleanliness and to encourage creativity among people, Megha came up with this unique idea. She collected discarded bottles from beaches, streets and turned them into piece of art. She organised a five-day art camp for students on discarded bottles, after which an exhibition was put up. Over 200 recrafted bottles were displayed at the exhibition. While talking about the same, Megha said, "Our main intention is to make people understand that they should not litter the beach. They can take the bottles home and utilise it. I request everyone to not throw glass pieces by the beach side as it can hurt anyone, even the animals." The bottles displaying creative artwork showcased that waste can be utilised in a better way while enforcing the drive to keep the beaches clean.
