India's Consumer Price Index (CPI), or retail inflation, in the month of November eased to 3.63% on year-on-year basis as compared to 5.20% during the same period last year. In October 2016, CPI stood at 4.20%, said Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) on Tuesday.

While consumer food price index (CFPI) - which stood at 5.91% in August 2016, from 8.35% in July 2016. Under CFPI- the rural inflation was at 6.32% from 8.18% in July 2016 and Urban inflation at 5.10% against 8.80% in July, 2016.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) which was revealed by Ministry of Statistics on Tuesday showed rural inflation to be much higher at 6.07% than urban inflation which was at 4.55% for the month of June.
