According to the ministry, the Electoral Bonds shall be valid for fifteen calendar days from the date of issue and no payment shall be made to any payee Political Party if the Electoral Bond is deposited after expiry of the validity period.

However, there is a possibility that the identity of the donor will be revealed that won’t serve the purpose and will be similar to direct donation to the party."
As the Finance Bill is classified as a Money Bill, it does not require bicameral approval and can be passed only by Lok Sabha, a media report said.
