Dense fog gripped national capital as chilly weather continued in Northern India. Fog enveloped Delhi’s Connaught Place area. Indian Meteorological Department issued ‘red’ alert for the national capital as cold waves continue unabated in the region. Minimum temperature of 2.5°C was recorded in the national capital, on December 29.

Normal operations were suspended due to low visibility at IGI airport. Minimum temperature was recorded at 3.4 °C on December 29. On December 28, Indian Meteorological Department issued ‘red’ warning for Delhi. The red colour denotes extreme weather conditions.
