Describing Aadhaar as a simple device for identification and authentication, Dwivedi said: "We can`t analyse the data. It can`t be surreptitiously obtained by any one. A lot of thought has gone into making the design and architecture of Aadhaar."

Giving assurety to citizens, UIDAI said, “It maintains complete log and traceability of the facility and any misuse can be traced and appropriate action taken.”
UIDAI had earlier stated that Aadhaar security systems are the best of the international standards and the data is fully secure.
