State-run telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) over the weekend rolled out its ‘Triple Ace’ plan along with two others to fight newcomer Reliance Jio.
The Rs 333 plan offered 270GB data 3G data for 90 days. Subscribers of the plan will also be offered unlimited calling.
Customers would be able to avail a total of 270GB high speed 3G data under this plan, or just Rs 1.23 per GB, the company said.
In another launch BSNL rolled out ‘Dil Khol Ke Bol’ for Rs 349 wherein customers will get unlimited local and STD calls in the home circle and 2GB data with 3G speeds per day after which the speed will get reduced to 80 Kilobit per second.
BSNL also revamped its existing STV339 plan by increasing the daily data usage limit from 2GB to 3GB.
A third plan by BSNL ‘Nehle pe Dehla', BSNL is offering 3000 minutes of calls on the BSNL network and 1800 minutes of calling to other networks to its subscribers.
The plan also entails 2GB per day data at 3G speed for Rs 395 and has a validity of 71 days.

After Reliance Jio launched its Dhan Dhana Dhan offer, Airtel, Vodafone and Idea also announced similar plans to defend its customer base.
Jio users that have paid Rs 99 for Prime membership could avail of the company’s Rs 309 plan which offers 1GB data per day for 84 days or the Rs 509 plan which offers 2GB data for the same period.
