Airtel revises Rs 93 tariff plan to take on Reliance Jio's Rs 98 offer
The Rs 93 tariff plan, showing up merely on Airtel’s website, has been revised especially to compete with Reliance Jio’s recent entry-level plan.
In reply to Reliance Jio’s Rs 98 tariff plan, leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel has revised its Rs 93 tariff plan with offers of unlimited local, STD, calls, 100 SMS per day and 1GB data, said a report.
These benefits, valid for select Airtel prepaid users, are valid for 28 days from the date of recharge.
Although majority of users in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle are eligible for this tariff plan, select users in Delhi, Mumbai and several other circles can also avail the benefit of this offer, said the telecomtalk report.

However, Jio is offering 2GB of data and unlimited voice calls at just Rs 98. The plan is offering double data in comparison to Airtel’s plan.
The difference between Jio and Airtel is that the former is ahead in terms of data offering, while the latter offers more SMSes.
Jio's Rs 98 tariff plan gives just 300 SMS, while Airtel extends 100 SMS per day thereby offering 2800 SMS for 28 days.
Airtel is reportedly working closely with device manufacturers to bring a 4G smartphone at Rs 500. The firm is also rumouerd to introduce Rs 93 tariff plan in the new garb of Rs 60 or Rs 70 offers, the report added.
