How to get an Indane Oil LPG connection? Know deposit money, documents required

Fuel is the basic resource every household requires. As soon as you move to a new place, the first requirement is to get an LPG connection. The largest LPG marketer Indian Oil, with its LPG product Indane provides with LPG connection to both urban and rural areas of the country. When it comes to domestic utilization of LPG, Indane is available at 14.4 kg capacity cylinders while when it comes to selected rural and hilly areas, they provide cylinder capacities of 5 kgs. One can subscribe to Indane LPG connection at any part of the country, for domestic usage. To get a connection, the interested individual needs to approach their nearest Indane distributor.
Documents Required
The individual needs to have any of the following documents as a proof of identification as well as address/residence,
- Ration Card
- Electricity Bill
- Telephone Bill
- Passport
- Employer's Certificate
- Flat allotment / possession letter
- House registration papers
- LIC policy
- Voter’s Identity Card
- Rent Receipt
- PAN card issued by the Income Tax department
- Driving License
- Aadhaar Letter
In the case of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, the ration card is a mandatory document required to issue an LPG connection.
Deposit Fee
Post the registration the distributor will send an intimation letter via post. You need to have this letter to avail your connection. The connection will be released soon after. However, you should have a possession of an ISI mark Hotplate conforming to IS:4246 and a Suraksha LPG hose confirming to IS:9573 (Type IV), so that the cylinder is installed in your residence.
The security deposit amount that is to be paid to get the LPG connection are:
- North-eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Manipur: Rs 1150 for a 14.2 kg cylinder while Rs 350 for a 5kg cylinder. The pressure regulator will cost Rs 100 for these states
- Rest of India: Rs 1450 for a 14.2 kg cylinder while Rs 350 for a 5kg cylinder. The pressure regulator will cost Rs 150 for these states
