Networking giant Cisco has committed to train 10 lakh Indian students in digital skills by 2025. In order to expand its Networking Academy programme, it will train the Indian youth in emerging technologies.
How to make money is the biggest question in the minds of youths. Even the brightest students sometimes struggle to find a good job because their skills may not be up to the mark. However, they can empower themselves now through this initiative and boost their money making chances. Networking giant Cisco has committed to train 10 lakh Indian students in digital skills by 2025. In order to expand its Networking Academy programme, Cisco will train the Indian youth in emerging technologies. Cisco's Networking Academy programme in India is one of its largest in the world and with 583 academies nationwide, it has trained more than 3,50,000 Indian students so far.
Cisco will also support government education institutes in providing training on networking and cybersecurity skills aimed at improving the employability of engineering graduates.
The Cloud-delivered skills-development programme will teach students learn about Designing, building, securing and maintaining digital infrastructure. While the curriculum include courses on IT essentials, networking, cybersecurity, programming and Internet of Things.
In 2016, Cisco had committed to train 250,000 students by 2020, which was achieved a year ahead of schedule, the company announced at the 'Cisco India Summit' here.
Through the programme, schools, colleges, universities, vocational institutions, government and non-profit organisations are provided a Cisco-developed curriculum that can be integrated with the institution's own educational offerings.
