Odisha Assistant Executive Engineer Recruitment 2019: Apply for 386 posts - Know pay scale, eligibility criteria and other details

Odisha Assistant Executive Engineer Recruitment 2019: Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has announced a total of 386 vacancies, in civil and mechanical disciplines, for Assistant Executive Engineer Recruitment in Advt. No. 01 of 2019-20. The recruitment for Group A of Odisha Engineering Service will begin on June 7. 
Candidate should know that the registration portal will be open till July 6. The scale of pay in level 12 of pay matrix under ORSP Rules-2017 with usual dearness allowance and other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) : 353
Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) : 33

Eligibility criteria:
A candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering in Civil for the post of AEE (Civil) and Degree in Engineering in Mechanical for the post of AEE (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification from any University or Institution recognized by the Government or he/she must be an
Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers of India in Civil/Mechanical

Age limit:
Applicants must be in the age group of 21-32 years as on January 1, 2019.

Selection procedure:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of objective type is written test and viva voce test. The exam will carry a total of 400 marks. The written test will be held at Cuttack, however, the Commission can consider conducting the exam at Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur and Sambalpur depending on the number of candidates from the respective zones.

Application fees:
Candidates are expected to pay Rs 500 as application fees. The last date for depositing the application fee is July 10.  Also, the candidates belonging to SC, ST of Odisha only and those belonging to PwD category are exempted from payment of application fee.

Reserved seats:
There are 127 vacancies reserved for women candidates.

Exam Centres:
The Commission will decide exam centres and venues for the candidates after screening the applications.

Place of Examination :
The written examination for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) and Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) will be held at Cuttack. It may also be held at Bhubaneswar, Balasore, Berhampur and Sambalpur depending on the number of candidates from the respective zone. The candidates are to mention their choice of examination zone at appropriate place in the online application form.
