The 30-scrip sensitive index Sensex on Friday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade. The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 26,548.67 points, touched a high of 26,594.55 and a low of 26,506.26 points. On Thursday, the Sensex closed at 26,519.07 points. On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,178.20 points after closing at 8,153.60 points. The Nifty is trading at 8,143.85 points in the morning.
