Beware! This common insect can be coronavirus carrier; Amitabh Bachchan shares video, PM Modi retweets

The Coronavirus Disease or Covid-19 has spread like wildfire in many countries across the world and is very much here in India. It has spread so fast that people are now wondering wondering about how it is spread, how to protect themselves and who can spread. Amid all this clamour, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has revealed some shocking facts about an insect that can spread coronavirus through a video he shared on Twitter.

Quoting a study, Bachchan has revealed that the common housefly could be a likely carrier of coronavirus disease. A video with regards to this has been shared on his Twitter handle. This tweet has been retweeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The claim has been made in a medical journal The Lancet. The study claims that Coronavirus is spread through houseflies. What is Amitabh Bachchan's message?
In the video, Big B says that the country has been fighting with the Coronavirus pandemic and everybody has to play a role in this fight. He says that Chinese scientists have found that coronovirus is also found in human excreta and it can survive on it for many days - even longer than what was previously thought! So even if a coronavirus infected person fully recovers, the virus still remains active on his excreta. A fly sitting on the excreta is a potential carrier of the disease, he says.

Amitabh appeals to the people to avoid open defecation in line with the PM's message of Swachh Bharat.

The superstar says that coronavirus can be defeated by staying inside the house. The total number of people infected have crossed 630 and till now 15 people have died. The first case was found in China's Wuhan province and Coronavirus has now spread in more than 181 countries.
