Lost your SBI credit card? Here's step-by-step guide to get a new one

Credit cards have become a valuable part of our daily needs. Our wallet may remain out of cash sometimes but it does have a credit card, often. From buying online goods to booking movie tickets, credit cards come handy in many ways. However, what to do if you have lost your SBI credit card somewhere? Well, there's nothing to worry as you can easily get a new one by following these steps. 

One can place the request for the re-issue of the credit card through, official website i.e. sbicard.com, Mobile app, write an official mail at sbicard.com/email or call on the helpline number 1800 425 3800. 

Here are the steps to file for the reissue of the credit card via the official website:

Step 1: Visit the official website sbicard.com.
Step 2: Click on the request’ tab.
Step 3: Click on the reissue/ replace card.
Step 5: Select the card number.
Step 6: Click on the submit button.

Here are the steps to file for the reissue of the credit card via mobile app:

Step 1: Open the sbi card mobile app.
Step 2: Go to the menu button.
Step3: Click on the service request option.
Step 4: Click on the reissue-replace card option.
Step 5: Select the card number.
Step 6: Click on the submit button.

Once you have filled the request through the above mention options, the next step is to pay the replacement fee. SBI has set the replacement fee at Rs 100 only. After requesting a re-issuance/or replacement of card, the usual time taken is 7 to 10 working days.
