Google Maps has become an integral part of our travel life, including our daily commute. It has also become a reliable partner when we are at a new place and solely depend on it to reach our destination. However, if the internet connection is lost while searching for a place, it can really leads to a nightmarish experience. However, don't worry, now you can avail this facility if you follow these tips.
It’s a good idea to plan ahead for such situations by downloading maps for offline use in Google Maps. Once you’ve downloaded an area, you’ll be able to get directions for the particular region even without an Internet connection.
However, there are some limitations that we should keep in our mind that we can’t get walking, transit, or cycling directions while offline; only driving directions are available.
If you’re not driving, using Google Maps offline can still be helpful to view nearby places when you’re stuck without a signal.
You should always remember that these maps eventually expire as they are updated by Google from time to time to ensure their accuracy. To see the areas you’ve saved and when they expire, open Google Maps, tap the menu icon, and select “Offline areas.”
