Sandip Dutta PRO of IRCTC in an Indian Express report said that there has been no hacking attempt on the site. A high-level committee has been formed to probe the matter.
He added that they have requested the cyber cell to give them details of the so-called data theft.
Earlier, media reports said that valuable personal data of millions of customers is feared to have been stolen from the server.
Experts believe that if the news about data hack is true it can result in sale of personal information (mainly email ids and PAN card details) of several customers to corporations.
A K Manocha, Managing Director of IRCTC, according to media reports, has written to Delhi police's cyber cell to inquire into the entire matter related to hacking of IRCTC data.
