The stickers tab will have a lens icon on the bottom left corner, clicking on which will open the search bar. From there, users will be able to search for sticker packs.
A WhatsApp fan site, WABetaInfo, known for sharing information about upcoming features of WhatsApp, has recently tweeted that the social media app may soon roll out a new stickers search feature for Android. Notably, sticker search is currently under development. WABetaInfo also shared screenshots of how the new feature will look like.
According to the tweet, stickers search will soon be available, but did not specify the exact timeline. “WhatsApp is working on a stickers search feature on Android, that will be available in future. It’s under development,” the tweet said.
Last month, WhatsApp stickers were rolled out with 12 sticker packs. With the upcoming feature, users will be able to search for individual stickers packs, similar to how search is available for emojis, GIFs etc.

According to WhatsApp, to create your own sticker art, your stickers must meet the following requirements:
1. Each sticker is an image that has a transparent background.
2. Stickers must be exactly 512x512 pixels.
3. Each sticker must be less than 100 KB. See the README files associated with the sample apps for tips on reducing the file size of your stickers.
It further stated on its website, "You must also provide an icon that will be used to represent your sticker pack in the WhatsApp sticker picker or tray. This image should be 96x96 pixels and must be less than 50 KB. See the README files associated with the sample apps for tips on reducing the file size of your tray icon."
WhatsApp intends to add more sticker packs in the coming months, and the platform is also open to third-party, who from across the globe can create stickers.
Notably, WhatsApp stickers gained popularity within days of its launch. WhatsApp has its largest user base in India, where stickers on festival of Diwali were exchanged in great numbers.
