Now, there are reports that Xiaomi is going to offer another disruptive addition to all its handset buyers by extending the warranty period to 18 months from the current one year. It is expected that the company may extend the warranty period from 1 year to 1.5 years.  

At a recent event, Xiaomi's founder and CEO Lei Jun said that they are looking forward to changing the current warranty period pattern by extending the warranty period from 1 year to 18 months, reports BGR.

Among all, Redmi Note 7 was the first smartphone having the warranty period of 18 months. It is expected that all the future launches will also have an 18 months warranty period. 

Emerging as a leader in the Indian market, Xiaomi has grabbed the attention of many smartphone enthusiasts in the country. The Redmi phones are among the most preferred and top choice of Indian smartphone buyers, as the brand not only provides low-budget but also a well-built mobile with good features.

As Indians are very price and quality conscious, Xiaomi Redmi phones have managed to emerge as their top preference.

The strategy for extending the warranty period is also a good move from the company to attract more customers.

Extending warranty period means, if in case the user damages the phone within the warranty period of 18 months, then they will get the free service to repair the phone.
